    • Features the Shield of the United States at the chest of an American eagle, symbolizing national strength and defense.
    • The eagle has outstretched wings and clutches three arrows in its talons, representing military readiness.
    • Positioned atop a blue pentagon, symbolizing the Department of Defense.
    • The design is encircled by:
      • A laurel leaf and berry/olive branch wreath on the lower half, representing peace and victory.
      • Arched stars on the upper half, symbolizing unity and excellence.
  • Reverse:

    • Displays a raised pentagon, with inscriptions:
      • "From the Secretary of Defense to" at the top.
